This class is geared to those with some yoga experience as well as advanced practitioners, Options will be given to fit various practice levels.
You are lead through class with a creative and accessible flow including a mix of sun salutations, standing poses, backbends, forward bends, balances, and twists all of which are offered to fit individual needs.
Class ends with stretches to compliment your practice, meditation and relaxation
A slower paced flow that is a great way to counteract a fast paced life off your mat. You are given time to find comfort and ease in each posture. Linking poses but moving at a slower mindful pace between the postures. The class ends with seated stretches, meditation and relaxation.
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with seated or supine postures that are held for longer periods of time using support from props. Yin Yoga not only helps you to stretch and lengthen the muscles and tissues, it also teaches you how to breathe through the stretch and sit with your thoughts. ** Class is appropriate for beginners
Vinyasa Flow is for students who have a regular practice and are looking to evolve to their next level. These classes will get you moving at a quick pace. They range in difficulty, and variations are offered for every student in class. Challenging endurance as well as strength. Classes may include arm balances and intermediate inversions. These classes are open to all levels, but basic experience with yoga is helpful. (For those brand new to yoga, it is recommend trying Hatha first).
Class begins with a gentle warm up of the joints and muscles leading into standing postures. The standing postures are held longer to increase stamina , strength, and muscle tone. This class is lighter on the joints than a vinyasa class as there is less weight bearing postures and does not include sun salutations. This class ends with stretches to compliment your practice , meditation and relaxation.
** Class is appropriate for beginners
I grew up in East Northport. I've been a yoga student since I was in High School . While living and working in the City, I continued to study yoga. In 2006, I earned my 200 Hour Yoga Certificate from Yoga Works NYC; I began teaching shortly after. While teaching, I worked towards and earned my 500 Hour Teaching Certificate from Yoga Sutra NYC in 2010.I have been grateful to receive educational hours with Edwin Bryant, Jason Crandell , Rodeny Yee, Guta Hedwig, Jill Cammera , Alan Finger and Pamela Shannon. In 2011, I moved back to East Northport and have been teaching locally and privately since. I am trained in Vinyasa, Alignment and Classical Methods by Krishnamacharya lineage. I enjoy teaching anatomy based alignment and also enjoy teaching creative vinyasa flow. Yoga has been a very big part of my life for many years. I always wanted to have my own studio in order to create a community and share my love and knowledge in yoga.I'm very excited to have a studio in my home town of East Northport.

Yoga became part of Lauren’s routine in college. It became an outlet. In moments of chaos or unpleasantness she reverted to her practice. After a couple of years, Lauren began to reflect and realized she wanted to share and spread these gifts. She believes the purpose of life is to help others. To work on ourselves daily in order to better serve the world. Lauren obtained her 200 hour certification with Gritty Buddha's Life Enrichment Program. Lauren is a certified Second Degree Reiki healer and has completed a 100 hour Meditation Certification from Two Point Om.
Jenn has had many unique opportunities and experiences throughout her life that contributed to the path she walks today. She grew up as a competitive dancer and has spent most of her life training at many prestigious schools in New York City for contemporary dance. She has graced the stage in an array of dance companies based both inside and outside of NYC. A spinal injury and battle with anorexia in her late teens temporarily suspended dancing but introduced yoga and meditation to her life. Over the years, yoga became her best friend. It brought so much more than just physical relief, but mental and spiritual awakenings as well.
In early 2020 Jenn was granted a scholarship to the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health to become a Yoga Teacher and currently holds 200 Hour Kripalu Certification . With additional 225 hours of studying with expertise in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Meditation, and Advanced Pranayama. Jenn is also a certified Reiki Master, works with Vibrational Energy Tuning, and offers Sound Journey events with her partner, Sam.Practicing yoga, meditation and pranayama opened a door for Jenn which would lead her down a path that brought an overwhelming sense of wellbeing and eventually, a calling to guide others through their journey.
Jenn’s mission as a yoga teacher is to guide her students through a sacred journey. An allowing of returning home to themselves and navigating their inner landscape in a safe and supportive environment. Her offerings are focused on the deepening relationship between breath and body awareness and igniting prana (Universal life force energy activated by breath) to guide movement. It is her greatest passion in life to provide this potent medicine to our community.
